A.P. Plumbing & Gasfitting Ltd was founded by Andrew Palmer in 1996. He is a Certifying Plumber, Gasfitter and Drainlayer with over 30 years' experience in the industry. Andrew is passionate about our industry and training the next generation of tradesman. This is reflected by his membership of the New Zealand Master Plumbers Society where he has been a member for ten years, currently serving as President and has so for five years. Andrews passion' is also reflected in his policy of employing new apprentices whenever possible and his continuous research into new innovate plumbing solutions for the future of New Zealand plumbing. Andrew has even travelled as far as the Chatham Islands to supervise the training of plumbers, passing on his expertise to the most remote part of the country.
We have serviced the Whanganui and Central Plateau areas since the company started in 1996, initially focusing on residential and occasional commercial work. In 2011 we set up a temporary Christchurch branch and worked on the post-earthquake rebuild.
In 2013 Andrew expanded our range of services and we started working on large commercial and civil contracts all around New Zealand. AP Plumbing started with the new BP Service Station builds in the North and South Islands and Prison expansions in Turangi and Wanganui. Recently we have completed the New Zealand International Commercial Pilot Academy and Wellington International Airport Rydges Hotel where we won an award for Health & Safety. Currently we are working on the Erskine Island Bay Development in Wellington along with Pinnacle Apartments in Wellington CBD. Recently we have won the contract for Wellington’s Wakefield hospital. AP Plumbing looks forward to the future projects and the continuing growth of our organisation in the years to come.
